Forbes 2008-01-01

In this year's first edition of
Forbes (January 1st 2008), one can read an article by
Magdalena Krukowska, entitled „New Science Connect”. The author writes about young and energetically developing innovative Polish companies, of which there are few at the moment. InteliWISE is one of these companies – it is creating the future of the internet, today.
Marek Borzestowski, co-founder of the company, states:
“Most future issues will be taken care of via the Internet, but access to information will become so complicated that websites will have to understand what the users need, and help them find it”. A few Polish companies already use InteliWISE solutions e.g. LOT, the Warsaw Stock Exchange and Carolina Medical Centre.
“The company has greater prospects abroad, where internet innovations spread faster" – writes the author. -
"Especially when blog or dating service users can create their own avatars. However, foreign expansion demands investment. InteliWISE shareholders have allocated over 2 million Polish zloty for development. Now they are planning to convert InteliWISE into a public limited company and enter NewConnect in 2008. In 2007 10 percent of shares were bought by Prokom Software (currently Asseco Poland).”
In Poland it is not a widespread notion to make money from inventions. In order to come up with something really innovative you have to find a niche which can be a real boost to business. You have to choose the moment when the market realises that it needs such novelty and then convince investors.
